(Yuta, Boy, childhood cancer)
“Santa visited my son in the hospitalized treatment room while he was undergoing intensive care for his cancer,” the mother said. “At first he was surprised to see Santa, but quickly smiled with great joy when Santa gave him a present” the mother recalls. The whole family cherishes this gift. Even his little sister plays with it to this day.
She continues, “It was the most difficult period for us, physically and mentally because this was during his one and a half years of hospitalization. Santa’s visit and present reminded him to smile when he had almost forgotten how to do it.” These memories continue to bring joy to the little boy. His mother said that last year when she told her son to go to bed early because Santa would not come if he was awake, the little boy responded with a precious answer. He said, “That might be true at home, but in the hospital, Santa comes at all hours of the day.” These memories are quite special for him.
“Two years have passed and he now goes to school and is doing well. We greatly appreciate Santa’s kindness because he gave us happiness and a wonderful memory during my son’s difficult time in the hospital,” the mother says.
